Fired Malawi’s Minister Of Information and Communications Technology, Reverend Malison Ndau, has lambasted the leadership of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party(DPP) for using him to achieve their goals and then discarding him “like a condom.”
Ndau was speaking in an interview with a local radio station after President Peter Mutharika fired him as Minister of Information and government spokesperson.
However, Reverend Ndau was quick to point out that he is not bitter with the decision taken by President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to fire him as Minister of Information.
“I am not disappointed as the only casualty who faced the chop. Being a cabinet minister is a temporary. But as an MP I have a contract with my constituents to serve for five years,” said Reverend Ndau.
Ndau further said that he learnt about his sacking in the media as he was not told by the appointing authority that he is axed.
Meanwhile, President Mutharika has replaced Ndau with Nicholas Dausi who was heading the Intelligence department at State House.
