Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has made a shock announcement that has sent the Malawians community into panic mode.

facebook1The billionaire CEO wrote a lengthy status update highlighting his New Year Resolutions and touched on Malawi.

The down to earth founder of Facebook announced that with effect from 6th of  February 2017, all Malawians will no longer have access to Facebook.

“I have decided to restrict Facebook access to all Malawians. This not only affects those in Malawi, but everyone whose profile states that they are of Malawian origin.

“The decision was not an easy on to make but I noticed that for Malawians to bring about change in their country, maybe Facebook is distracting them from standing up and being heard,” said Mark Zuckerberg

The news was met with anger among Malawians and some people were seen changing their nationalities immediately after the news went public.

(……Satire!! Satire!! Satire!!)
