Petroleum Importers Limited (PIL) Thursday donated medical equipment worthy K5 million to Ntchisi district hospital.
The equipment includes digital high blood pressure machines, oxygen concentrators, pulse ox meter and mattresses.
PIL General Manager Enwell Kadango said the donation is part of their partnership with the Ministry of Health under which Queen Elizabeth, Bwaila, Mulanje, Mangochi and Karonga hospitals have already benefited.
“With this donation, various wards will benefit and we believe the people of Ntchisi will make use of these items as the hospital gets equipped for safe delivery of their day to day duties,” he said.
Hospital Administrator John Bosco Baluti expressed gratitude to PIL for the gesture which he said is a great service to about 300, 000 people who rely on the medical facility as it will fill some of the existing gaps in the hospital’s service delivery.
